Aqualoon — state-of-the-art pool filter media designed to replace conventional quartz sand. Light blue balls are made of polyethylene fibers, forming a volumetric structure that effectively retains fine contaminants and helps keep pool water clean and clear. The material is suitable for sand and other compatible filter systems.
One Aqualoon package weighing only 700g replaces approximately 25kg of filter sand. Due to its low weight, the filler is much more convenient to transport, load into the filter and remove during maintenance. Polyethylene fibers are capable of trapping contaminants up to 3 microns in size, providing finer water filtration compared to traditional sand filler.
Aqualoon filter balls create less resistance to water flow, so the pump is more efficient and the need for frequent filter backwashing is reduced. The material can be washed and reused. After maintenance, the balls retain their structure, do not crumble, and do not leave sand or small particles in the pool. The polyethylene filler is recyclable.
Aqualoon is suitable for owners of frame, inflatable and stationary pools who need a lightweight, practical and effective sand filter filler. This is a convenient alternative to quartz sand, simplifying the maintenance of the filter unit and water care.
